Session 2 Designing Your Life Bookclub
This book takes a fresh, practical approach to building a meaningful and joyful life using design thinking principles. Whether you're considering a career pivot or simply wanting to reflect more intentionally on where you're headed, it offers tools and ideas we can all apply in our own ways.
This book is very interactive, so feel free to jot down notes, try the exercises, and come ready to share whatever stands out.
And as always, don’t forget the #1 rule of Ripple Reads…you don’t have to read the book to join the conversation!

May TRT Meeting
This month, we’ll be diving into: Is compassion the antidote to burnout?
Laura Jordhen, MD, a fellow TRT member, will presenting on how we manage, deal and prevent burnout. This is something she often presents to other Dr’s, so it’s a real treat to have her present to us!
Dr. Laura graduated from Smith College in Massachusetts with a Women’s Studies degree before returning to Oregon to study at Oregon Health and Science University, where she also spent a year in India and met her future husband. She completed her residency in Wisconsin, where her eldest child was born, and later welcomed her youngest in Vancouver. A proud Cougar family, both of her sons attend Washington State University while she serves on the College of Medicine faculty.
In her family medicine practice, she emphasizes whole-person care, believing that while medications are important, community and a sense of purpose are equally vital to health.
Step Out of the Freeze Step Into Connection
Shannon and Brianna have been so energized by these recent visits from the sun (please stay🌞), it feels like the perfect moment to come out of the “Vancouver Freeze” (little shoutout to Book Club) and reconnect with the world.
Brianna will be hosting a relaxed social, and we’d really love for you to bring a friend with you! The goal is to create space for longer, more meaningful conversations, the kind where we can actually get to know each other beyond those quick 5-minute windows before and after meetings. We want this to feel light, fun, and grounded in the TRT spirit of openness, support, and encouragement.
Redefining Success: How to Build a Career That Fits Your Life
A 60 minute workshop for high achieving women hosted by Brandi Oldham, CEO/Founding Coach of Talent Career Coaching
This isn’t about quitting your job, blowing up your life, or chasing a perfect answer. It’s about getting clear so you can stop measuring yourself against someone else’s version of success, and start making choices that actually fit your life and your goals.
Inspire HER Conference
The Greater Vancouver Chamber brings you an empowering event dedicated to celebrating and advancing professional women! Focusing on inclusivity and growth, Inspire HER is open to professionals of all levels and anyone who wishes to attend, regardless of gender.
Career Vision Boarding
So often, career decisions are made from a place of panic, pressure, or uncertainty. What if you made your next career move from a place of alignment instead?
In today’s job market, clarity is everything. Knowing what you want and being able to articulate it can be the difference between feeling stuck and moving forward with confidence.
TRT - March Gathering
This will be our first meeting, kicking off a larger conversation around community engagement, and we’re fortunate to have Lindsay McDonnell joining us to share the many ways we can get involved in our communities, even when our plates feel full (or maybe even overflowing).
TRT - February Gathering
Expanding Ourselves Through MEANINGFUL Connections. Spaces shape the quality of conversations, and conversations shape decisions.
The Ripple Theory is more than just a monthly gathering.
It’s a growing movement of women who believe change begins in small, human ways. We come together to learn, lead, and lift each other in our work, families, and communities.
We meet to explore personal growth, practice self-leadership, build real professional connections, and root ourselves deeper within our community.
There’s no membership fee, just a shared belief that growth never ends and that every woman has the power to create ripples that reach far beyond herself.
It’s real conversation, not perfection.
Pull up a chair. You belong here.
Join to stay connected to upcoming gatherings, retreats, and reflections from the women shaping this movement.
